We are psychologists who have known each other since graduate school. Our careers followed a parallel track through a number of traditional psychotherapy settings leading us to a partnership in full time private clinical practice. As we sought new professional challenges, we recognized the value of applying our skill set to the business environment. Our interest in the emerging awareness of life/work demands led us to develop relationships with Philadelphia's business community.

We consulted with executives and HR professionals about business related people issues. These conversations evolved into more formalized consulting engagements on a variety of workplace issues including downsizing, mergers and acquisitions, and change management initiatives. Strongly positive feedback about the value we added to oganizational performance led us to expand our business practice. Our client companies repeatedly invited us back to participate in new projects.

In 1995, energized by this professional evolution, we established PERISCOPE to offer solution-focused consulting services with an emphasis on change management and executive development. We have consulted with a variety of organizations from small, family-owned businesses to Fortune 100 companies.

Our paper on the need for standards of competence in executive coaching was chosen for inclusion in The Wisdom of Coaching: Essential Papers in Consulting Psychology for a World of Change, Edited by Richard R. Kilburg, PhD; Richard C. Diedrich, PhD, American Psychological Association, 2007.
